This policy describes how the Foodlio application (“the App”) processes user data. Foodlio is an app for food cost calculation and recipe/ingredient management, designed for restaurateurs, chefs and consultants.
1. Data Controller
The data controller is Kharonte (developer of the App), reachable at kharonte.appdev@gmail.com.
2. Core principle: your data stays on your device
Foodlio works without an account and without registration. All the content you enter — recipes, ingredients, reports, preferences and profile data (e.g. business name, currency) — is stored only locally on your device. It is never sent to our servers (we operate no application server) nor synced to the cloud by us.
3. Data processed through third-party services
To function and improve, the App uses a small number of third-party services that may process some data in anonymous or pseudonymous form:
3.1 Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google)
To understand how the App is used and to detect malfunctions, we collect anonymous data:
- Analytics: usage events, device type and model, OS and App version, language, approximate region (derived from IP address, not stored), randomly generated analytics identifiers.
- Crashlytics: crash logs, device state at the time of the error, App version and diagnostic data.

3.2 RevenueCat (subscription management)
In-app purchases and subscriptions are handled through RevenueCat, which processes: subscription history and status, transaction identifiers, an anonymous user identifier generated by the App, store country and technical device information. 3.3 App Store (Apple) and Google Play (Google)
Payments are handled directly by your device’s store (Apple or Google) under their terms and privacy policies. We do not receive or store your card or payment method data.
4. Device backup
The App’s local data may be included in your device’s automatic backup (iCloud on iOS, Google Auto Backup on Android), managed by the operating system according to your Apple or Google account settings. This backup is not managed by or accessible to us.
5. Purposes and legal bases (GDPR)

6. Data retention
- Local data stays on the device while you use the App and is deleted when you uninstall it (you can also clear it from the App’s settings).
- Analytics and crash data are retained by Google according to its retention policies.
- Subscription data is retained by RevenueCat and the stores for as long as needed for management and accounting/tax obligations.
7. International transfers
Google and RevenueCat may process data outside the European Union (e.g. in the United States), applying the safeguards required by applicable law (e.g. standard contractual clauses).
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. Since we do not collect identifying personal data and operate no accounts:
- to delete your local data, uninstall the App or use the in-app data deletion;
- for data handled by Google/RevenueCat you can exercise your rights through their respective services, or by writing to kharonte.appdev@gmail.com and we will assist where possible.
9. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy over time. The updated version will be published at this address with its “Last updated” date.
